Full Description

NMRS Report: (21/03/2007 13:08:16)
NH92NE 58 NH 98624 25888

The steading enclosing three sides of the yard immediately to the NW of Balnuick farmhouse appears to contain most of its original fittings. The NW and NE wings contain byres with timber stalls and the SW wing contains a stable with timber loose boxes in its NE end and a threshing machine in the SW end. The threshing machine was belt driven, powered by an internal combustion engine situated in a wooden lean-to. The hole for the axle appears to have been broken through the wall.
Visited by RCAHMS (SH, TIP, GB) 13 October 2006.
