This square, covered reservoir is situated on the leading edge of an E-facing terrace 270m S of Wester Dreggie farmsteading. Immediately SE of it is a concrete building with a vaulted roof. Orientated NE and SW, this building has an entrance in its NE end and four metal vents, shaped like inverted anchors, in the roof. On the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire1905, sheet XXXII.NE) the site is annotated 'Reservoirs' and 'Grantown-on-Spey Water Works'.
