Loch Snizort [name centred NG 32 61].

Possibly on map sheets NG35NW, NG35NE or NG35SE.

Corry, by Broadford, 16th Apl. The EARL OF STAIR, from Ireland to Lochsnizort [Loch Snizort], with oatmeal and oats, struck on a rock near Grithernish (a branch of Lochsnizort [Loch Snizort]) 14th Apl., and has received some damage. A considerable portion of the cargo is also damaged.

The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative.
The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably accepting her successfuol recovery.
