Full Description

NG34NW 1 339 491.

NG 339 491. At about 400 feet above sea-level, around the junction of a small burn with the Allt Storachan, is a group of 9 or more ruined shielings. (Visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/175: 1266-7)
They are of the single and twin-cell types, reduced to turf-covered mounds with circular depressions in the top with loose stone visible. Visited by OS (A S P) 17 May 1961.

Five shielings, as described by OS, are noted here by Miket. (The shielings noted on NG34NW 8 are probably included in the number given by OS.)
Information from R Miket, October 1989.
