Where the Red Burn divides into two branches, at a height of 175m OD is a compact group of 5 ruined shielings. They are of single cell type and all but one are reduced to turf covered mounds. The exception, lying close to the junction of the two burns, is especially well preserved, the internal facing still standing to a height of 1.1m. A well preserved door-opening lies in the southern corner.
Information from R Miket, October 1989.
