NG42SW 2 4110 2370.

(NG 4110 2370) Unnamed depopulated area: deserted by 1877. (OS 6"map, Inverness-shire, Island of Skye, 1st ed., {1877})

On the E bank of the River Brittle, beside the road at NG 4110 2370, is a small depopulated township of some 13 ruined houses. (Visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/372: 3151-2) They are mainly of type 2 with outbuildings and yards. There are extensive areas of lazy-beds in the vicinity.
This township, together with the buildings on the opposite side of the river at NG 408 239, are known as 'The Glen'.

A township, comprising six unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1879, sheet xliv). Eight unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1965).
