Full Description

The site was visited by RCAHMS in November 1990. A boundary dyke was observed on the NW slope of Cnoc a'Chrochaire with several shieling mounds arranged along its line. The bank appears to pre-date several of the mounds. <1>

A site visit was made in September 2008 to assess the potential archaeological impact of a proposed development to the west of the site. It was observed that the remains lie on a natural platform at grid refs. NG 2726 5568 (north end) and NG 2723 5562 (south end). <2>
