Full Description

The crofthouse first appears on the First Edition 25" Ordnance Survey map c.1872. The current building footprint has changed very little <1>.

The much extended crofthouse stands in a derelict state with the roof on the verge of collapse. A small enclosure of mixed upright Caithness Flagstone and drystone walling is attached to the NE elevation. The remains of small square enclosure of upright Caithness flagstone can be seen to the north of the building <2>.

It was subject to a basic photographic survey in 2008 in support of a planning application. <3>
