Full Description

A scramble, or emergency air raid shelter, one of a number located around the military camp. Designed for emergency use if a covered shelter could not be reached. It is designed to protect the occupants from blast and shrapnel. They are brick-built to a standard design and are common in such installations. This shelter has some superficial damage but is generally a well preserved example of the type <1>. Photographed <2>.
