(NG 6642 2343) Chambered Cairn (NR)
OS 6"map, (1967)
A large and conspicuous, grass-covered round cairn which may be chambered, measuring about 80' in diameter and 8' in height.
Seventeen feet from the NNE edge of the cairn there protrudes a stone 3' long, its long axis lying SE-NW, its NE face exposed to a height of 10". Another stone, 10'6" to the SSW and slightly N of the centre of the mound, is set with its long axis almost parallel. Its top is considerably higher than that of the first stone, but due to the slope of the mound it only projects 10". These two upright stones probably indicate the presence of a chamber.
