Full Description

The site of the original bridge was visited during a walkover survey in October 2007. There is now no trace of the bridge, however on both sides of the river sections of dyke and avenues of mature beech trees run to where it was presumably located. These dykes are low and broad and are probably contemporary with the construction of the original road. <1>
