Full Description
Old military maps suggest the survival of a legal ownership boundary for the peninsular of land between the Rivers Oich and Tarff since the early eighteenth century when this land was seized as forfeit from the Jacobite Lord Love. A map from c.1746 clearly depicts "Boundary of Crown Land" and it is this boundary which is believed to be preserved in the present dry stone wall alignment. Several marker stones are recorded along this wall, some of which are still extant. <1>
