Full Description
A short section of trackway drops west from the present road to the low ground along the river, but does not appear to continue. It may have been constructed as an access route to the sluice (No. 11). At the roadsie above this track is one small stone pile, having the appearance of a field clearance pile, although its location makes this unlikely. If associated with the cultivation areas above the road (No. 8 and 9) it may have been the base of a stack for crops brought down to the road from these areas, or a marker cairn.
It was felt that these two features appear to lie on the most recent revised route of the pipeline from the Loch Uisge to the turbine house. They would not be considered of sufficient interest to require an alteration to the route, but detailed photographic recording of the features prior to work commencing here is recommended. <1>
