Full Description

NG55SE 1 5902 5037.

Two miles S of the N tip of the island of Raasay, an isthmus links that island and Eilean Fladday, and on the S side of the isthmus there is a well- preserved fish trap of rectangular of 'box' plan, constructed of large boulders. The E arm of the trap is angled towards the west for a few metres from its termination below HWM. A short alignment of boulders is sited a few metres to the E of the E arm of the trap, the gap between the two opening upwards towards four short alignments which occasionally provide pens for boats.
E Patterson 1983.
