Full Description
Simple, degraded, lozenge-shaped shieling set on the opposite, NW bank of the small burn to the majority of its neighbouring shielings. Its thick, linear mounded walls stand 0.4m high and are spread to 1m wide and are moss-covered in its upper section and reed-covered at its lower end, in which stone is visible in its construction. It measures 8m x 3.5m and its longsides trend 056 degrees. This site is one of a group of shieling huts identified during a walkover survey in April 2009. <1>
