Full Description

Noted during a watching brief in June/July 2009, a row of stones forming a stone alignment. The stones extend from the boundary fence of one of the properties and run in a NNE-SSW direction where the alignment abuts with site 15. The stones have a maximum length of 0.04m , width of 0.40m and height of 0.30m. This is described elsewhere in the report (illustration 1) as a field bank. It was cut by the new pipeline at NG 4857 4566 revealing that the stones lie on a bed of peat measuring 0.40m thick. <1>
