Full Description

This cottage is thought to have been built around 1850. The owner suggests that it was possibly a millers house as there are the remains of an old mill nearby. It was a croft house in the 20th century. The extension on the east side was added in 1971. Photographs of the building were submitted to the HER in September 2009 to comply with a condition on planning consent. It is proposed to replace the existing corrugated iron roof with slate. <1>

The building is depicted as unroofed on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map c.1875. <2>
