Full Description

Built 1894, attractive cottage located at the western shore road entrance to the garden grounds of Dunrobin Castle. Rubble with tooled margins. West elevation contains date stone and ornate corniced diagonally-set stack with what appears to be a modern doorway; north elevation has a timber verander and a projecting gable with bay window with sash and case windows divided by thick stone mullions. Slit window above. Stone spearhead finials adorn the apex of each gable and the also the skew putts. Large later flat roofed extension to SW (built between 1969-1991) <1> <2>.
