Full Description

A low mound composed of large limestone (subrounded) and quartzite (sub angular) blocks on limestone outcrop. Measures NNE/SSW 1.6 m x 1.4 m. There are large voids between the stones and the edges of the mound are turfed over (so cairn may be bigger than the measurements given above).
On limestone outcrop with very thin soil and grass cover. Overlooking Kyle of Durness.
Well defined cairn, possibly funerary, although quite small. Alternatively, could be navigational marker. Appears to be built directly on to bedrock.
Recommendations: Monitor and control rabbits <1><2>
