Full Description

Two sections of walling exposed on either side of peninsula of stable dune, which deflating on three sides.

a) Wall face exposed in base of deflation sand blow, with another concentration of boulders 3 m to NE. Wall measures 3.4 m NW/SE and stands to 2-4 courses (0.6 m) high. Another concentration of boulders 3 m to the NE may be opposing wall of a structure. Both disappear into eroding face of dune to NW. Thick thistle growth around both features.

b) On the other side of the stable dune, a more disturbed length walling 1.45 m long extends from the eroding face. Face is 3.4 m NW/SE and 2-4 courses (c 0.6 m) high.
On undulating terrace above lochside, in deflated area, SE-facing across Loch Borralie.
Medieval/Post-Medieval ?structure buried beneath stable dune but gradually being exposed. Hugh Powell found a crown thistle here.
