Full Description

Martin Briscoe reports that there is an approximately rectangular concrete base of a building at NN 01616 63442 which was possibly associated with the WW1 Royal Marines gun battery. <1><2>

Further research by Martin Briscoe. Pictures of the battery at the Royal Marine Museum, which come from the Imperial War Museum, show two searchlights with a hut below the gun positions on this site. This is possibly the location of the concrete base identified at this location. <3>
