An Teampull (NR) (In Ruins)
OS 6"map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1904)
An Teanpull, Doire na Guaile.......... a small oblong roofless church ... built of stone and shell lime with a burial ground surrounding it. The building is orientated almost NW-SE and measures 19ft 3ins in
length and 8ft 10ins. in breadth internally, the wall being 20ins. thick. The NE wall is complete but the opposite wall is slightly broken down at the E end: they meausre about 5ft 6ins. in height on the
inside. The gables, about 12ft high, are also much better preserved than usual, only the skew stones on the W side on both having fallen out. The door is at the centre of the NW gable, with door checks. A modern wall encloses a small burial ground at the NW end of the chapel. RCAHMS 1928.
An Teampull, a ruined chapel with small burial ground as described above. Visited by OS (A S P) 12 June 1961.
