Sinclair's Bay [name centred ND 37 56].
Wick, 20th Dec. A severe storm at SE. Two fishing boats lost with all hands. Wick breakwater standing well.

Wick, 20th Dec. [another account]. A severe Easterly storm has set in, preceded by a very heavy surf along the whole coast. Several fishing boats are missing: one is known to have foundered in Sinclair bay [Sinclair’s Bay], and two men and a boy are drowned.
