NM 48867 90874
There are seven huts and seven mounds on Fhaing Ruadh, at the N end of Eigg. They are scattered across a broad terrace and on a narrower shelf above the sea cliffs. The huts range in size between 2.2m to 3.3m in length and 1.2m to 1.9m in breadth within rubble walls that stand up to 0.8m in height. The grass-grown mounds range in size between 3.5m to 9.1m in length and 3m to 7.3m in breadth and they stand up to 1m in height. There is a stone kerb around the S side of one of the mounds (EIGG01 690). There are at least ten further low mounds immediately to the S of this group.
