Full Description

The Fishertown of Delnies first appears on Genral Roy's map of 1747-55 and 5 clusters of buildings below the ridge north of Hilton of Delnies. A much reduced, tough still sizable, Fishertown is evident on the 1871 OS map.
AOC visit June 2007: One upstanding building was found to remain in the location of the Fishertown. The building is currently disused though it remains in reasonably good repair and its roof is mostly intact. No other structures relating to the Fishertown were identified; however the area was overgrown with dense vegetation and remains may survive sub-surface. <1>
