Full Description

A series of pre-clearance crofting house sites and field walls exists around NH 373 297, roughly 200m south of New Corrimony, and there are several more croft sites on the eastern side of the river. These include a complex of 3 crofts and a 4th building on a terrace at NH 3623 2715 and a small building at NH 3625/269, as well as various walled or banked boundaries and animal enclosures. These are all regarded as early clearances due to the lack of accompanying place names reported from archival records. <1>

A number of these features were noted during walkover survey. <2>
