Full Description

A series of upright timbers revetting the east & west banks of where Culmaily burn enters Loch Fleet. Possibly represent where a footbridge once crossed. The revetting on the banks, running N-S, are c. 4 m wide and 1m high. <1>

These may represent the crossing point of an earlier footbridge, but the 1st and 2nd edition Ordnance Survey maps apparently show the bridge in the position it presently occupies, so this footbridge would pre-date the mid 19th-century. <2><3>
