Full Description

Part of the army camp at Lochailort. Martin Briscoe sent information that this building is marked on a plan held in Lochaber Archive as a power house, which would have housed the generator for electrical supplies to the camp. <1><2>

Further photographs of the power house were submitted to the HER in November 2010. <3>

Iain Thornber carried out a photographic survey of the standing buildings on behalf of Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd. This was submitted as part of a planning application for re-development of the Lochailort fish farm. A selection of photographs is included in the report. The full collection is held on CD. <4>-<6>

The site was visited and photogrpahed by Andrew Puls of Highland Council in August 2013. <7>
