Full Description

8m internal diameter hut circle, slightly recessed into the base of a steep SW-facing slope, with a gentler slope dropping down to the NW end of Loch Lunndaidh below (Plate 9). Its short heather-covered interior and walls make it easy to recognise, even though its mounded turf walls have degraded to such an extent that they stand only 0.5m high, but are spread to 3m. Two prominent ‘pillar’ stones mark the 2m wide entrance to 174o. A small burn flows approximately 15m to its SE.

A number of other possible bronze Age/Iron Age features were recorded during walkover survey in Strath Lunndaidh. <1>
