Full Description
an irregular, sinuous stone dyke, standing up to 0.5m high and jumbled to 1.5m wide (Plate 6). It trends from here uphill and appears to end 2m from the post clearance field dyke of Feature 14 (below), but perhaps it has just been robbed during its construction.
The irregular dyke trends W from this location roughly along the contours, spreading to 3m in places and S downhill, curving gently to the SW. This part then also trends parallel to the contours then gently curving back up to stop short of the post clearance field dyke and continues for a short distance on its N side. The downslope continuation joins with another dyke.
The dyke continues south, crossing a trackway running E to W.
A Bronze Age or Iron Age date is suggested for this feature, although this must remain tentative. <1>
