Summary

Two moss-covered clearance cairns were recorded during field survey. They were recorded as 3m and 4m in diameter. A prehistoric date is suggested, part of the evidence for prehistoric cultivation in this area.

Full Description

Two clearance cairns recorded during field survey, as feature 17 and feature 18.

Feature 17 is a moss-covered clearance cairn of stone, 4m in diameter and 0.75m high. It is situated 10m from a
similar clearance cairn at 235m OD and reflects early cultivation of the area.

Feature 18 is a moss-covered clearance cairn of stone, 3m in diameter and 0.75m high. It is situated 10m from a
similar clearance cairn at 235m OD and reflects early cultivation of the area. <1>
