Full Description

A roughly dressed sandstone slab, found placed horizontally in the interstice between 0.5m (approx) of loose sandy loam and a compacted stratum of 0.3m of dark brown loam. The stone does not appear to be carved or otherwise decorated Found in a test pit during monitoring of water mains replacement at Portmahomack. <1>
