Full Description

Photographs of a supposed coffin rest were forwarded to the HER by a participant in a Community Timelines course, run by ARCH. This is held to be a coffin stand locally. <1><2>

No indication is given of this on either 1st or 2nd edition Ordnance Survey mapping. This site sits immediately adjacent to a natural harbour at Dunrobin Castle, so it remains possible that coffins were rested here en route to Golspie. <3>
