Full Description

A substantial stone and earth bank with ditches to both sides, running NW-SE. Approximately 2.5m across and 0.5m high. Its date is unclear. This feature does not seem to have been recorded previously. It is suggested that the land here, which consists of a steep slope running down from the road to the cliffs, would not be generally suitable for cultivation and that the attempts to clear the land may date from the period of the clearances. <1>
