Full Description

Just across the railway line at Balsporran Cottage are the remains of a shepherd's house (possibly two hosues of different periods, one ofthem a well built stone dwelling) and substantial fanks. This site had been marked as a shieling complex on the 1773 estate plan, but it would appear that it had been turned into a sheep walk in the early 19th century. <1>
