Full Description

This corn drying kiln (ROG95 879) was recorded during RCAHMS's 1995 survey of Little Rogart township. With an internal diameter of 1.8m the structure stands to a height of 0.8m with walls 1.75m thick. It is set into the slope on the ENE. The flue or fire-chamber is set into the slope of the ground to a depth of 0.4m. A platform with a wall on the north side, possibly a loading platform, lies on the upslope side from the flue. <1><2>
