Full Description

A circular pit measuring 0.68m in diameter and 0.16m deep was identified during trial trenching at the end of 2011. It had shallow sloping sides which merged to a shallow concave base. The fill comprised dark grey to black silt containing infrequent charcoal flecks and occasional small stones, including fire-cracked stones. No finds were recovered and there was no evidence of burning. <1>
