Full Description

This is the site of the original curling pond in Carrbridge, built before 1880. Local tradition says that men working on the roads built it for their own recreation. A trophy was presented first in 1895 and still is awarded today (2011), although curling is now done on the newer concrete curling pond in the village. <1>
