Full Description
NG20NE 7 2522 0589.
Situated at NG 2522 0589 on a slight rise on an extensive boggy shelf are three rectangular structures, and a fourth to the N at the bottom of a S-facing slope, similar to those at NG20NW 3.
"A" measures 10.5m NE-SW by 1.5m and is slightly curved at its SW end. "B" about 13.0m to the W, is just traceable through the peat and appears to be straight, measuring about 10.5m NE-SW by 1.5m.
"C" about 22.0m W of "A" is 17.0m E-W by 1.5m with its W end blocked by a stone.
"D" is about 50.0m NW of "A" and measures 14.0m E-W by 1.5m.
There are traces of an old wall, showing as a line of intermittent boulders protruding through the peat, running for about 90.0m to the NE from "A" and continuing in a roughly westerly direction for about 230.0m. It cannot be established if it is contemporary with the structures.
Surveyed at 1/10 000.
Visited by OS (I S S) 31 May 1972.
