Full Description
A double celled shieling hut was recorded during a walkover survey by West Coast Archaeological Services in 2012 at Creagan Breaca, Bracadale, Skye, prior to a proposed woodland creation scheme. The stone and boulder built structure had been constructed at the base of a SSW-facing outcrop and was under grass and rushes. The north cell measured 5.8m north-south by 5m, the south cell measured 3.5m east-west by 1.8m over walls 0.7m wide and 0.6m high. There was a 0.8m wide entrance in the south-west end. <1>
