Full Description

A post-medieval house was recorded during a walkover survey by West Coast Archaeological Services in 2012 at Glen Bracadale, Bracadale, Skye, prior to a proposed woodland creation scheme. Part of the Glen Bracadale township.

The grass- and moss-covered turf / stone building measured 17m E-W by 6.5m over walls spread to 2m and up 0.6m high. It had a 0.8-m wide entrance in the south wall. A clearance cairn (see MHG55717) had been built against the end of the east wall. <1>
