Full Description

A small group of shieling structures to the northwest of Crossal, Bracadale, was located during a walkover survey in 1994-5 by Dualchas Museum's Service prior to a proposed woodland creation scheme. The easternmost structure had been built inside an earlier hut circle (see MHG13881), filling most of its interior. It measured 5m x 3m. Two similar structures lay 15m to the west. <1>
