Full Description

A deserted farmstead at Glen Colbost, Skye, was recorded during a walkover survey in 2012 by RoCAS prior to a proposed windfarm development. A house and byre were recorded together with boundary walls and areas of rig and furrow cultivation. It was noted that none of these structures were depicted on the 1st and 2nd Edition OS maps for the area and that they could in fact date to post-1901. Both of the buildings had later twinning pens inserted into the corners. <1>
