Full Description

The remains of a small farmstead at Ladycairn, Dochfour, were noted during a walkover survey by Wordsworth Archaeology Services in 1999 in advance of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme. The footings of three buildings were noted, two of which were shown as roofed on the OS 1st Edition map. Some 22m to the east a circular stone footing 3m in diameter of unknown footing was also noted. It was recommended that the area around these features should be left unplanted. <1>
