Full Description

Dykes, probably parts of enclosures were noted south of Garve, Contin, during a walkover survey by Wardell Armstrong in 2011 in advance of the proposed replacement of the Beauly - Mossford Overhead Line. They were thought to be related to land management associated with Killin Farm. <1>

The southern-most dykes were not apparently noted during the walkover survey in 2011.

An alternative origin may be that they were associated with a small sheepfold shown on the OS 1st Edition map at 'Knockglass' (see MHG55908) although they are not all shown on the OS 1:2500 1st and 2nd edition maps, especially those west and north-west of the sheepfold.
