Full Description

A cut plough edge of uncertain date was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by J Wood in 2004 on behalf of the Highland Wildlife Park. It indicated the western limit of former arable land and there were clearance stones along the uncut edge. The visible edge represented the last ploughing episode, probably in the mid-late 19th century. The early 20th century maps show the area as scattered woodland. <1>
