Full Description
A hut circle, probably from the later Bronze Age or Iron Age, was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by J Wood in 2004 on behalf of the Highland Wildlife Park. The entrance is from the east-southeast, which is a typical orientation for these buildings. Despite their name, they were houses for an extended family. A conical thatched roof would have been supported on an interneral ring of posts. <1>
