Full Description

A hut circle, probably from the later Bronze Age or Iron Age, was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by J Wood in 2004 on behalf of the Highland Wildlife Park. The entrance is probably from the east or east-southeast, but the edge was obscured by plantation at the time of this survey. Despite their name, they were houses for an extended family. It was not possible to survey within the plantation area. A conical thatched roof would have been supported on an interneral ring of posts. <1>
