Full Description
A shieling was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by RoCAS in 2012 on behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland. It was referenced to be MHG859, which is located about 70m north but has a similar description, but could possibly be a different site. Two grass-covered amorphous-shaped mounds with depressions in the centre were located on the east side of the burn. The northeast mound measured 7m north to south by 5m and stood up to 0.6m high. The west mound measured 5m northwest to southeast by 4m and stood up to 0.6m high. <1>
