Full Description

A shieling was noted during a DBA and walkover survey by RoCAS in 2012 on behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland. Located on the S side of the burn was a large grass-covered, sub-oval mound measuring 15m east to west by 8m and up to 2.2m high. It was covered in tussocks with some indication of banks, spread 0.8-1m wide and up to 0.6m high, on the east and southeast sides. <1>
